BECOME UNGOVERNABLE
In 1959, a Harvard researcher tried to teach three octopuses — Albert, Bertram and Charles — to pull a lever to get food. Albert and Bertram were cooperative, but Charles constantly squirted the researcher with water and prematurely terminated the study by breaking the lever.

So, with Colbert being cancelled, and Kimmel being forcibly put on hiatus... when do we get a Strike Force Five Part 2? They can call it Strike Force Fired

One thing I'll say about DC not only canceling Red Hood, but recalling the first issue and refunding stores for buying it, is that you can still get Neil Gaiman's work through them. They still work with Otto Schmidt. Eddie Berganza worked there for years AFTER the formation of a policy that no women

a) it feels stupid to not acknowledge that the stakes are different post 9/10, and that just because your info hasn't been subpoenaed from a prior protest doesn't mean it won't be now.

SHE IS RIGHT. Don't RSVP. It's nuts to think you have to or that you should. How is it in any way wrong to say, don't put your name on a list that can be hacked? (And will be, in the current climate). Just show up!
I can‘t believe people are getting so mad about @angryblacklady.bsky.social saying that you shouldn’t register for a protest.

Just show up. Don‘t register.

"Bluesky is boring."

Social media *should* be boring. Being algorithm and dopamine poisoned is bad, actually.

When your feed dries up for the day, that's your cue to go do something else until new stuff shows up later.

we passed this point long ago. the Christchurch shooter murdered more than 50 people for the memes. if you don't realize that was part of the point for him you don't understand this stuff.
The prospect of large scale violence committed, more or less, for the memes, is terrifying. And if we're not there already, we are rapidly speeding towards it.
If this was straightforward internecine conflict of fash-on-fash violence, that would be a difficult concept to swallow for most people.

But the idea that young disturbed men are using "normal" political categories as accoutrements to their abyssal anti-logic... where do you even fucking start?
