I got a jar of these crazy kelp pickles from @aethan.bsky.social for Christmas. They’re naturally hollow, have the texture of apple, and have a slight marine, umami flavor. Tasty!

For what it's worth, I thought the Stranger Things finale was excellent and the perfect way to end the show. I can't imagine thinking of it as "meh".
Given that apparently the Stranger Things finale was meh (idk, didn't watch it, just the scuttlebutt) and we're not that far removed from the disastrous GOT finale that retroactively made everyone have never cared about the show:

I've physically bumped into two celebrities: Cyndi Lauper ran into me in a crowd at Magic Kingdom (and said "oh my gawd, sorry!"), and I bumped shoulders with a very skinny, leather-jacket-clad Lou Reed while leaving a Laurie Anderson concert.

Being a freelancer this time of year is weird.
Some of my clients have sent me Christmas gifts or bonuses in the past, but then, some years they just... don't.
