On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.
The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.
But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.

I sent one of my honorary nieces a giant kids book of how construction sites work with big fold-outs and interactive flaps to move. It seems like it was a hit, and I am deeply smug about it. Getting girls interested in construction and the trades makes me happy.

Early indications that it's a whole lot dumber than I expected.
AP says the El Paso closure is due to the military doing something with counter-drone tech against the Mexican cartels. CNN says whatever it was, it came out of Biggs air force base in Fort Bliss.
