The Trump admin is imprisoning pregnant children—many who are victims of rape—in Texas, where they will be forced to carry high-risk pregnancies without proper medical care. A particularly horrifying example of the violent misogyny and racism that are the bedrock of their political project.

Early indications that it's a whole lot dumber than I expected.
AP says the El Paso closure is due to the military doing something with counter-drone tech against the Mexican cartels. CNN says whatever it was, it came out of Biggs air force base in Fort Bliss.

Story: My dad picked up some colorful candles at a garage sale. They were meant to make bottle art, so he let us play with them (and a lighter). We stuck them in a glass bottle. As we burnt them, pressure built in the bottle and essentially created a bottle rocket that shot into the ceiling.
This is like the time when my brother and I explained how the black spot on the kitchen ceiling got there, well after our parents sold the house. (There was a small explosion.)
