A reminder that gas-powered leafblowers are nightmare devices that are bad for you, bad for your lawn, and very bad for the environment. They fume and scream and kill the world all so you can messily and ineffectively move leaves around, leaves which are generally supposed to stay where they fell.

Today's Millard mailer is paid for by Mayor Frey's benefactors at the PAC All of Mpls. Millard assured voters recently she is "not running in alignment with the mayor because I want to challenge the mayor." But big money believes she is running in alignment with their mayor.

a lot of people are finally waking up to the importance of the 3rd amendment. As a 3A absolutist, i think it should be illegal for soldiers to be quartered anywhere in this country. they should be camping under the open sky at all times. all military bases and barracks are unconstitutional.

Police told encampment residents that they would be able to get back into their tents after 2 hours, so people stood around on the sidewalk all night, only to have all of their belongings thrown in the trash by City workers under Mayor Frey's management.

How am I supposed to have faith in the party to take care of violations of the code of conduct when the very people doing it are the ones judging it? How are we supposed to handle mistreatment of marginalized groups when the offenders and the judges are the same people?

Strongly disagree. Notwithstanding anyone’s feelings on this particular challenge, people file challenges all the time, and the challengers usually lose.

Delaying until after the challenge would create an incentive for even more people to file challenges, even if they know their challenge is BS.

Team Frey may have biffed their convention strategy but their lawnsign game is on point. This exactly the kind of lawn I would expect to see this sign in. The degree to which this meets my expectations exceeds my expectations.

What's this? A clear-headed analysis of the convention from a candidate? One that honors the results, the work of the candidate who won, AND the work of the delegates. One that moves us forward into the work of doorknocking and campaigning? Here for it, & I am here for @dewayneforminneapolis.com.
Since Saturday’s convention, many people have reached out to ask if I will be challenging the DFL endorsement. I want to be clear: I will not challenge the endorsement and will not collaborate with those who are challenging the endorsement.

If I volunteer to be a precinct captain for my friend and neighbor I would absolutely know all of the orgs supporting them, especially one so infamous as All of Minneapolis
I didn't even know she was. Do you think I support her because she's All of Mpls or because she's a neighbor and friend I've worked with lots before

Nutshell, from a Mpls politics expert
When Betsy Hodges was denied the DFL endorsement for her second term in 2017, it was treated by the Star Tribune and others as a serious blow, and a warning sign for November. But none of her challengers came close to actually winning the endorsement themselves, as Fateh has done.

I am incredibly honored to be one of the @mplsunions.bsky.social endorsed AND @mplsdfl.org endorsed candidates for park board!

The convention left no doubt that Minneapolis supports labor and wants a park board that will find consensus with park workers and rebuild their trust.

Solidarity!
🤝 Congratulations to all our endorsed At Large and District candidates who secured DFL endorsement this weekend! #ProLaborParks won big — a *win* for workers ✊
