Fun. The helicopters are back in North today. Just what I needed…

Minnesotans will take this as a challenge from the sentient sack of potatoes.
This is an absolute threat. “You’re not going to stop ICE. You’re not going to stop Border Patrol.”

Said with the cool casual tone of a sociopath.

The Grammy's crowd did not seem excited for Jelly Roll. Such a shame.

Today I made a batch of wild rice soup. Like a good Minnesotan.

My Instacart shopper sent me photo of totally normal looking Fennel this morning and said, all of the Fennel has this green stuff on it. Do you still want it?

Why is a politician from Texas escorting them home? Where are our senators and representatives? WTF.
Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

My husband just told me that Climb Every Mountain isn’t in the Sound of Music, so now I have to get a divorce on top of all of this other nonsense.

I know a lot of people in MN feel like the rest of the country isn’t aware of what is happening here. I talk to people across the country for work on a daily basis, and more people are aware than you may think. I have had lots of (often times uncomfortable) conversations over the past few weeks.

You know Minnesotans are on edge when a random dude shows up at a restaurant on a Monday and multiple waitstaff asks if they are ICE.

Reading between the lines what I really see is “this is starting to be really bad for our businesses, so now we will pretend to care a little.”
INBOX: 60+ CEOs of Minnesota-based company call for "an immediate deescalation of tensions and for state, local and federal officials to work together to find real solutions."

No mention of ICE in the letter.

In solidarity with today's ICE OUT OF MINNESOTA blackout, MinnMax is donating $1 to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota for every share of this Bluesky post for the next hour.

Not naming names, but seeing local restaurants asking people to vote for the "Best in Mpls" right now is really fucking tone deaf. Read the god damned room.

My neighbor is currently full of ICE and MPD.

I can understand businesses that cannot afford to close on Friday. I can understand that some are trying to keep employees safe. What I don’t understand are the businesses that have essentially spoken against it, and instead of listening they decide to double down. Looking at you Norseman. ✌️

I keep seeing rumors that ICE has hotels booked until May or June, and that worries me. I know Minnesotans are strong, but that is a long time.

I know in my heart that the Siege of Minneapolis will go down as one of the biggest political blunders/grossest abuses of federal power in American history. Just a matter how long that consensus takes. Next week? Next year? Next decade?

Gonna throw this one out a little early:

If you’re more upset by a white supremacist getting Supersoaker-d than a car full of children being tear gassed, you’re a BAD FUCKING PERSON

The strangest thing just happened. Two people just showed up at our house with a bunch of food and cleaning supplies. They were from a church and someone apparently put us on a list of people that might be in need? We told them we didn’t need it but they refused to take it back.

Please stop saying that midterms are going to be cancelled. There are over 50 Republicans retiring this year. They need to refill those seats.

It's not fun being "that person" but a lot of information being shared is just wrong. The truth is scary enough and people's energy being diverted because of a rumor spread in good faith is a problem. A lot of information, due to algorithms on platforms is also WAY out of date. Please be mindful

Yesterday afternoon I noticed a black Suburban with ND plates driving up and down our street. Roughly 6 times over a 30 min period. I couldn’t make out the driver, but I did note that it was just one person, and he was wearing normal clothes. That same truck was back as part of an ICE raid today.
