I would be inclined to agree if Sam weren't a campaign manager. It's not like he doesn't know how GetThru works. Also even in an activist town like Mpls the pool of campaign workers is small and he may need to work with whoever is on the other end of this text in the future.

How am I supposed to have faith in the party to take care of violations of the code of conduct when the very people doing it are the ones judging it? How are we supposed to handle mistreatment of marginalized groups when the offenders and the judges are the same people?

Strongly disagree. Notwithstanding anyone’s feelings on this particular challenge, people file challenges all the time, and the challengers usually lose.
Delaying until after the challenge would create an incentive for even more people to file challenges, even if they know their challenge is BS.
