It’s really cool that when you say “ugh the disgusting sex story again” you have to clarify if it’s the horrible criminal one or the one that’s horrible but legal

There are a ton of coffee shops in the Indianapolis area that aren't this.

I recommend any of those.
Beginning Monday, a Frozen Peppermint Hot Chocolate drink will be available exclusively at Starbucks cafés inside Target stores.

The chains are hoping the drink can drum up excitement from customers this holiday season.

I would love to read an account of this saga that isn’t written in an atrociously purple way but seems like that’s too much to ask of anyone involved

First off, my suspension has ended. Got a little harsh with a post a few days ago but I didn’t have my feet on the ground and I’m sorry if I offended anyone. Will try to be more chipper. Knock on wood!

oh hell no “Lizza” getting muted immediately.
the pro move is reading the first 12-18 hours of Nuzzi dunks/takes and *then* muting her name. don’t go past 24 hours though, because by then the takes-about-the-takes will be spawning.

lots happening here but one of the things that really strikes me is that i basically despise all of this and yet i could easily come up with a better answer than the “chief inventor” for Ring. like bro, a goon squad is not needed to find a missing dog?!?!
There are blocks I won't go jogging down because it's just a wall of Ring cameras right up against the street with no setback and I do not need everyone and their grandmother recording me struggling at sunrise.

test the plausibility of this for yourself: ask "what sort of efforts would fully counteract the sociological effects of a system where people routinely sold their own children into labor camps?" and see how different your answer is from "years of open terrorism in defense of retrenching apartheid"
The south was a chattel slave empire until the 1860s and a de facto ethnic authoritarian state for the following century, which is well in living memory. I don't think we need to pretend that that hasn't left a distinctive cultural mark.

Not an expert etc but one thing that made this so much clearer in my mind is learning about the political trajectory of Indiana over the last 100ish years and how it coincides with the migration of white Southerners to the state.
