Really don't need to hear anything but support from the Europeans and anglosphere while Americans are out in the street defending and being killed to protect immigrants.

It's funny how we always manage to find the true author of the problems, and it's always the same people
we actually need to band together and let the dems know we will never donate another cent or vote for the party again if a single member of the party votes to give a single cent to ice ever again

Democrats don’t like defund the police because it’s a really dumb idea. Voters also share this view but even if voters didn’t it would still be a very dumb idea
The reason Democrats don’t like defund the police is because of polling.

Like it or not, large majorities of the regular population by and large like the police. Because, yes, they associate them with safety.

This is also true in Black populations btw.

They’re the ones whose minds need to change.

"We will just swap out the US nuclear umbrella for France, which has never and can never fall under the sway of a demagogic, charismatic right wing authoritarian"
Reports that Europe is looking to have Paris extend its nuclear umbrella across the continent. I imagine De Gaulle—who withdrew France from NATO’s military command—would be thrilled. The UK too interwoven w/ & subordinate to the US, Ger. afraid of its own history of militarism: Neo-Gaullism rises.

Spare a moment to think of the people who work on Adobe's usability design team, who spend eight hours a day chained down in six inches of ice water that is periodically electrified if they think about how to improve the user experience.

Man, fucking go for a walk or something
A reader asked the Ethicist: An old friend was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. Her ex-husband and I, both divorced, have fallen for each other. She asked to reconnect, but I've postponed a meeting, feeling paralyzed. What should I do?
