The use of the word "biological" here is disingenuous. Until the current moral panic, sex assigned at birth (for that is what it is) was simply an annotation on a birth certificate.
It has as much relevance to a trans person's adult physiology and health as their recorded birth weight.

The problem with "Trust your gut/intuition" and "Ignore all those negative, intrusive thoughts" is that they can often sound essentially the same, and I have fucked myself over many times by "ignoring intrusive negative thoughts" that were actually my extremely accurate intuition.

I feel obligated to point out that the vast majority of "gender non-conforming" people are CIS and always have been, and it's actually not helpful to treat every effeminate gay man or butch lesbian or tomboy like they aren't their gender just because they don't fit patriarchal gender norms.

When I visited her in SF in 2022, I was prepared to be masked, but we were able to sit outside. She served me cookies. I was nervous & said “I don’t want to eat in front of you when you can’t eat, also I am trying to lose weight” & she typed into her speech machine “EAT THE FUCKING COOKIES!!!!” 😂
