The woke left wants to pervert the concept of the traditional nuclear family. They want you to believe that the ideal family unit isn’t a father, a mother, and kids. They want you to believe that a family is a mother and her daughter and the three dads who could all be the biological father

“Everyone should be allowed to carry a gun for their safety but the government can murder you in the street if you have a gun” is an incredible endpoint for the conservative moment

ARE PEOPLE ALLOWED TO CARRY OR NOT. ARE WE ALLOWED TO PROTEST OR NOT.

These rights have always been "protected" with a BIG Ol' honkin asterisk depending on who you are.

The newest video shows very clearly that they attacked him for coming to an aid of a woman that the agents pushed, and then executed him while he was immobilized. Everything the government has said, like with Good, has been a complete lie.

ICE agents are America's failures, basically indistinguishable from lazy school shooters, losers who want to play Call of Duty on our streets against people who can't fight back. They have unlimited ammo and toss tear gas like they're pressing L1. They have to be defunded and jailed. All of them.
MS NOW news crew capturing ICE/DHS agents firing pepper balls, flash bangs, and tear gas at non violent protesters.

i was the only home whose cable didn’t go out when the sopranos finale aired and it showed tony looking up and seeing two guys walk into the restaurant holding hands. then it cut back to tony shrugging, which you have to understand in 2007 was a very powerful statement

Of all the sins of AI, this is an unexpected and deeply annoying one
Funny animal videos no longer being trustworthy just fucking sucks all around. I love the wonder of animal behavior and what it says about the experience of being alive. It's because it happened in reality that it's so fun. It's not fun if it was just made up. There's no wonder there.

Keep going. Be meaner. Aim whatever lizard-brain impulse you have towards cruelty and violence in this direction.
We can do even more.

rich dudes got freakier after butlers fell out of fashion, like say what you will about having domestic servants but clearly it was some sort of moderating force on old rich dudes having a fancy man follow you around saying shit like "oh dear sir, that wouldn't be very becoming"

We are in a timeline in which People Magazine is publishing legit hard-hitting news headlines while CBS and CNN publicly humiliate themselves.

I don’t like this timeline. But I’m loving People Magazine right now.

Remember: If we allow ourselves to fall into fatalism, or wallow in disappointment, or become resigned to what is rather than what should be, we will lose the long game.

The greatest enemy of positive social change is cynicism about what can be changed.

I'm not sure we're able to even begin really solving things until we stop treating poverty and hunger as problems created by personal failures rather than systemic ones
SNAP isn't about "people who don't work." It's about people who don't get paid enough to live.

Of the 40 or so million people who rely on food stamps:

* Two-thirds are children, seniors, or disabled

* Most working-age adults who receive SNAP are employed—but in jobs that pay poverty wages

She is 5yrs younger than my mom. Human history is a very living thing, to me, because our lifespans aren't that long.
Happy 71st Birthday to Ruby Bridges, who at the age of 6 desegregated the New Orleans public schools.

She’s younger than 30 senators and our last two presidents—and only 7 years older than Barack Obama.

The past isn’t past.
