We are so moved by this story of coordinated nonviolent resistance -- with whistles -- against the ICE raids that are tearing apart communities in Chicago.
Commentary: In Chicago, residents mount a community-wide defense against Trump's deportation machine
Over the past two months, ICE has swept throughout Chicago but has swung its hammer with gusto on Little Village, considered the Mexican heart of the city.

Vance shares a strange immunity with Trump.
The press cannot or will not pierce through his rhetoric to see the what-should-be-obvious danger of the man.
This includes:
1. Vance follows lots of neo-Nazis on X
2. His championing of Germany's far right
3. HE'S WELCOMING HITLER LOVERS INTO THE GOP

JD Vance now leads the GOP. And he wants the party to welcome Hitler lovers.
And the press refuses to reckon with what this means.

So name the other interest groups, not just the ones people associate with Jews
I think the relevance is in showing that they are consistently immoral & unprincipled people who take money & marching orders from multiple evil interest groups.
It's not a surprise they are united in this when they are united in other injustices

The bigger fight? Buddy, I die without health care and your pals in the Senate — none of whom will ever go without access to lifesaving medical care — told me they were gonna fight so my premiums don't go up 50%. And then they folded.
But there are real dangers out there that must be fought; and energy spent fighting each other is energy lost to that bigger fight.

To point a fine point on it: these amounts are PITTANCES compared to the dark money flowing from Evangelical Christian aligned PACs. And they're probably some of the biggest AIPAC doles out. Elections are multi-million and billion-dollar affairs now.
Slinging antisemitic claims is gross and helps nothing. AIPAC played no role in this. These are the amounts received from AIPAC by some who OPPOSED the deal:
Schumer: $1.7 mil
Wyden: $1.2 mil
Schiff: $1.2 mil
Gillibrand: $999k
Warnock: $922k
Booker: $871k
Do with this what you will

It’s go find your shade of blue and get them on the ballot

Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.
Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.
One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.

i mean, it’s “literally medieval-level anti-Jewish propaganda,” that’s the answer, but i find myself compelled to demand to know how people think things work, even when those people are de facto nazis

Mamdani won on a WFP slate. Unlike grifters like Jill Stein, WFP works within the system to get candidates elected in places where machine politics rule (NYC, Philly). I’m proud to be a dues-paying, card-carrying member.
Tonight, Senate Republicans — aided by eight Democrats — passed a funding bill that will raise healthcare premiums for millions of Americans and leave some families without health care at all.
Let's discuss.
