That’s plausible enough, but the question that raises is “why are people suddenly attributing ordinary price fluctuations to inflation?”
Agree with who you quoted. I can understand that inflation broadly has declined and also notice that the milk I get my kids has gone up 25% over the past year. The average person who isn’t a politics nerd will wrongly but kinda reasonably attribute something small like that to larger inflation.

Even as the most Hall-focused writer on this godforsaken planet, I don’t care whether a fan cares about the Hall, just as they may not care about prospect minutiae. Fan how you wanna fan, it’s cool! But if you’re following @fangraphs.com during Hall season, you’ll see Hall coverage. Not at all sorry

I struggle with political cynicism, but fact is the vast majority of Democrats want to make life better. The *SoS* heard a sad story and wanted to help!

Maybe it’s just the Humanities professor in me, but let it be noted that events of today (ahem) have demonstrated the value of being able to assess a large volume of qualitative data and do careful textual analysis with deep attention to context.
