Our military is being paid by an anonymous donor.

Our WH East Wing was demolished for a ballroom - paid for by donors.

These aren’t acts of benevolence or patriotism.

This is the oligarchy assuming control, insidiously becoming part of how we function.

Every American should reject it.

All executions are inhumane. And the death penalty should be outlawed.

The dissent here in discussing “the barest form of mercy” clearly highlights the inhumanity of all executions.
#SCOTUS denies a stay of execution to Alabama death-row prisoner Anthony Boyd, over *quite* a dissent from the three Democratic appointees, written by Justice Sotomayor, about the problems with nitrogen hypoxia as a method of execution:

Nothing’s funny anymore, but “23% of Americans yearn for the White House East Wing to be demolished” is sort of funny.
“YouGov polling conducted Tuesday found that 53 percent opposed demolishing part of the East Wing, 23 percent supported it and the remainder were unsure.”

Epitaph on a Tyrant

Perfection, of a kind, was what he was after,
And the poetry he invented was easy to understand;
He knew human folly like the back of his hand,
And was greatly interested in armies and fleets;
Hats off to whoever at TFL decides which poem is having its moment

In 2013, one of the biggest political scandals involved claims from right-leaning groups that the IRS was discriminating against them. (Read about it here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IRS_tar...)

Now, Trump is preparing to weaponize the IRS to pursue left-leaning groups:

Exclusive | Trump Team Plans IRS Overhaul to Enable Pursuit of Left-Leaning Groups
The effort would install a Trump ally at the IRS’s criminal unit who has drawn up a list of investigative targets.

What a mild way to say "this is against the law and has been anathema since the founding of this country."
The U.S. Treasury shared a proposal to mint $1 Trump coins to mark America’s 250th anniversary.

But U.S. code says only deceased individuals may appear on U.S. currency, a tradition dating back to efforts to break from monarchical rule. https://wapo.st/4pWsyL3

In the American system of government, a legislature of the people’s elected representatives decide how to allocate the people’s money, then an unelected appointee in the executive branch called “OMB Director” decides if he feels like distributing the people’s money that way or if he’d rather not.
