bookmark this as the most ideal description of a self-censoring fact...

....so far
The attorney general and the FBI director, a manosphere podcaster bro, pulled into the situation room a member of Congress best known for getting kicked out of a Beetlejuice musical for drunkenly giving her date a handy, in order to pressure her about the president's child sex trafficking scandal.

I am still on board with "technology has no inherent moral valence" but boy you can really spot the technological changes that act as amplifiers for "destruction is generally easier than creation"
i think it's very bad that "agentic disinformation network, agentic nation-state level black hat, agentic revenge porn at scale" all occurred and were funded before "AI PowerPoint slide deck creation that actually looks nice" got solved

Joyce Carol Oates continues to be a Poster the likes of which we have never seen and probably will never see again. A true generational talent. A savant. Unpredictable and relentless. Dumpster fire and queen. Incredible.

The Bonds from Brazil. They’ve escaped, and there are HUNDREDS of them. Only Jason Bourne can be trusted to
We can take this further: Bond Babies. MASSIVE hit.
pitching my idea for a new James Bond movie: Son of Bond, where a young Bond seeks revenge for the poisoning and blowing up of his father, James Bond.

James Bond is Christopher Marlowe, secretly alive these many centuries. He lost most of his memory when he was Wolverines, is troubled by flashes of tall hairdos and flouncing ruffled collars.

obviously the right answer for the next James Bond is a poignant and grownup depiction of the complexity, pain, and unexpected joys of long-term stroke recovery, call it After The Bondulance

The camera pulls back.
The entire Bond universe is a hallucination in the mind of Sherlock Holmes in withdrawal from cocaine.
Someone pounds on the hospital room door. It's M.
"Her Majesty needs you, Mr. Holmes. Spot of trouble in Russia. All quite hush-hush."
(a) Bond has an identical twin, Jay M. S. Bond, who is recruited by MI5.
(b) Bond was cloned before his final mission.
(c) Bond: Afterlife, set in Purgatory. Bond must foil a plot by the "Souls in Purgatory Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion".

Senate Republicans regard the filibuster as a ratchet that's more important than anything that Trump or the Supreme Court has done.
It’s insane to treat the filibuster as the most sacrosanct.

Article 1 power of the purse, oversight, and war? Nah.

Emoluments clauses? Bribery prohibition? Meh.

Criminal law? 14A? Doesn’t count.

But maybe the Senate changes a rule it has multiple times before? Gasp! Not that. Anything but that.

This is such a non-problem.
- even grittier Bond in the 50's
- glam Bond in the 70's
- utterly toxic bond in the 80's
- Gen Z K-Pop Bond _right now_.

He's had a jillion different faces and accents. We don't expect continuity from star to star. FFS.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

This has the ring of truth to me. I feel advantaged because the meta-cognitive aspect of working with LLMs seems to come naturally to me and I’m also a SME with a strong rate of recall on broad enough topics that I can work up/down the ladder. But even then I sometimes feel at the edge of complexity
I used to worry that AI would be monopolized by ~3-5 companies. Bt lately I think we can avoid that.

What still scares me is that we might replace a wide range of domain skills with a single abstract skill like “meta-cognitive engineering,” which may appeal only to a narrow subset of people. +
