And if it's deliberate...that says a lot for the cultural lens through which the LLM sees the texts that it scans, and the influence of the trainer on it.

It _seems_ like it would be something you'd have to do deliberately, because of the "3 r's in strawberrry" thing. ChatGPT only sort of getting it seems like weak evidence for the same.

I wonder how much of the difference is emergent vs. deliberate. Did Anthropic train Claude with a syllabic tokenizer, or did this result come about by accident.
