I don't know what the future holds for me, but I want it to be one without me having to be some sort of wage slave to some fuck ass who is going to fire me because he didn't receive 1% increase in EDIBDA or some other god forsaken acronym from hell they made up.

This is 100% true. A guy paid a million dollars JUST to write the first book about it. Techbros were absolutely convinced it was world-changing.
Younger people who didn't witness it cannot fathom the hype around the Segway. Every news station agreed it would revolutionize the entire social fabric of the Earth.
