There is no appropriate government function except impeachment and removal, investigations and prosecution.
I refuse to stay silent while Secretary Noem breaks the rule of law and terrorizes our communities. I am introducing Articles of Impeachment against her for violating the public trust, obstructing Congress, and self-dealing. Read my full statement: robinkelly.house.gov/media-center...

Do not let the failures of prosecution post January 6th happen again. Every second you do not charge this person is a second the massive propaganda apparatus around the federal government will use to create a fog of lies to get him off. Arrest him immediately for killing an American citizen.

A few months ago an older woman was out at the intersection of 44th and Oregon during the West Seattle Farmer's market, collecting signatures for a petition to change the intersection to a 4-way stop.

That intersection is now a 4-way stop and significantly safer. That's all it takes sometimes!

Mayor Mamdani brought an end to the Williamsburg Bridge "bump," which he described as a "veritable gauntlet of cycling punishment." This is only the beginning of a $70-million overhaul of this section of Delancey that will start this fall. nyc.streetsblog.org/2026/01/06/g...

Man, I love the display tech but hate this use of it. Even non-AI virtual pets would be cool!

Fingers crossed this leads to affordable generic volumetric displays.

Samuel Alito flew two flags used by insurrectionists.

Clarence Thomas' wife plotted to overturn the 2020 election.

Both justices refused to recuse themselves from SCOTUS cases related to the January 6th plot.

It's a stain on our nation that this has effectively been forgotten.

First CES panel. Intuit CMO Thomas Ranese is proud of his company's integration with OpenAI, which involves giving AI read/write access to tax data. Since prompt injection attacks are unavoidable, I asked him who will be liable when customer data is exposed: Intuit, OpenAI, etc?

He had no idea.

I feel I cannot stress enough how 'AI' products serve, intentionally or not, to reestablish the control of a very small group of people over language and expression, a new form of digital boot.

One hopes the proliferation of open models may push back on this. Or the Butlerian Jihad. Either way.

Not to be all “back in my day”, but every time I watch an old movie and they say “mind if I smoke?” I instantly flash back to a PSA on buses in the 90s. And I feel like we need this kind of blunt messaging on public health stuff.

It WORKED. It’s still in my head 30 years later.

I cannot stress this enough

If you like a game

Write to the developer and tell them you liked it

Not just the big ones, but the small ones too

And please don’t use chatgpt to write (anything), we can tell

Write it from the heart

Did you know octopuses have three hearts, nine brains, and blue blood.

Two hearts pump blood to the gills; one pumps to the rest of the body.
The one systemic heart actually stops when they swim, meaning they prefer crawling.

Something I appreciate about the narrative design in the Hades games is that you get to develop relationships not just with friends, lovers, and allies, but with foes as well. Makes for a much more interesting and engaging experience.

Vow of Rivals, indeed.

A reminder that the US killed 80 people in Venezuela, and it would be nice if the US media cared enough to think that the life of a grandmother in Caracas whose building is destroyed by a US bomb matters as much as the life of a person in the US.

people think moby dick is a stern adventure novel heavy on the plot. i can't emphasize how much it's not. it's supergay chaos with 3 plot points. there's an entire chapter that's just a chowder recipe. sometimes it turns into a play. the main character is covered in whale dinension tattoos.
finally reading moby dick. why didn't anyone tell me that it's good
