Ms. Soskin was an actual Rosie during WWII. In the late 1960s, she held fund-raisers to support the Black Panthers and delivered the proceeds to Kathleen and Eldridge Cleaver. She was a delegate to the 1972 DNC.

David Walliams got away with writing stereotypical characters in his kids books. The publisher just removed them and continued to rake it in.
