I know everybody is squeezed right now because of Trump's tariffs crashing the economy, but if anybody has anything to spare, you can help save a historic bookstore that's the anchor of our village's main street. gofund.me/b344ead9d

It absolutely rules that Joyce Carol Oates was like "Elon Musk has never watched a movie, never read a book, never grieved the loss of a friend or celebrated the success of somebody he loves..."

And Musk's reaction is "Actually, I've loved some movies."

Democrats were overwhelmingly united on their shutdown demands.

Americans understood that Trump and Republicans were to blame.

Voters made it known last Tuesday that they'll elect leaders who stand up to Trump.

Democrats held the cards — and folded for no reason.

Wait so the Democratic cave didn't even restart SNAP payments? It was for literally nothing at all?
It's been 10 days since Trump let SNAP funding expire.

He could feed our kids, seniors, and veterans today — instead, he's begging SCOTUS to let him keep starving Americans.

Food should never be used as a weapon. Hungry kids are not political leverage. Fund SNAP now.

In response to this claim that the "strategy didn't work."

The people were on our side. We were building momentum to help save our democracy. We could have won - the premium increase notices were just starting.

And giving in now will embolden him. Things will likely get worse.

EVERY SINGLE POLL showed the majority of voters blamed Trump and the GOP for the shutdown.

Trump was essentially booed out of Virginia yesterday.

Johnson looked feckless.

Enter @schumer.senate.gov and his merry band of idiots, who said “we can’t let them take ALL the blame! We want some too!”

Come on! We know members of the Senate are “free agents,” but the fact is Schumer didn’t hold his caucus together & isn’t doing his job as Leader

We’re supposed to believe it’s a coincidence that none of the Dems who voted yes on the CR have anything to lose in 2026?

@schumer.senate.gov STEP DOWN!

Look at the ratio on this post. If we weren't ruled by a gerontocracy, Dems would understand that this means their base is angry with them. Instead they'll probably go "Bluesky isn't real life, our REAL base is proud of us."

When no matter what has just happened, you see a connection to Israel, the nation you love to hate, the people you wish didn't exist, you have a fucking bigotry problem.

What if Johnson is forced to swear in Grijalva and they get the final signature on the discharge petition to release the Epstein files, and Johnson just doesn't do it, just ignores the rules? What are they gonna do, vacate the chair for misconduct?

what’s remarkable about this is that there are zero winners at all, one of the biggest lose-lose deals I can remember

the Dem cavers will catch incandescent shit for it

the rest of the Dems will catch collateral fury

the big R win is… jacking everyone’s health care costs ahead of midterms

Extremely angry at the 8 traitors who betrayed Democrats. These traitors actually snatched defeat straight out of the hands of victory to crush democracy for Republicans. Fuck the feckless 8.

Still can't get over that Dems caved. IDK if they're thinking "Once people see how much they're going to have to pay for health insurance, they'll pressure Republicans to fund the ACA again." But no, people will just go without healthcare. We're back to the 90s, in a bad way.

GOP Strategist 2: It’s impossible.

GOP Strategist 3: We are well and truly fucked.

Assistant: Hey, sorry, it might be a prank call, but I’ve got Chuck Schumer on the line?

Instead, either because of malice or sheer fucking incompetence, he is letting his caucus fold like fucking cowards.
