If you’re not too strapped for $ right now, can people who follow me get $175 of this covered? Even small donations get it there. I will cover the other half.

Thank you on behalf of MN!
My husband is working with a group delivering groceries to families from an overwhelmingly Hispanic school in Mpls. He will be buying groceries this Friday. $350 will finish covering their food needs for the week; if he raises more he will buy TP/laundry detergent. Venmo: Edward-Burke-MSP.

Walz is capitulating to fascists and encouraging night raids. Genuinely disgusting. Why would anyone settle for this?

A friend with Project HOME in Maine is asking for urgent help.

With ICE descending on neighborhoods, people are afraid to go to work—cutting off income and putting families at immediate risk of eviction.

This is a solidarity fund: 100% of donations go straight to rent.

I know this is small potatoes in the grand scheme of things but these guys are paid with your tax money and have no real job. ICE isn't necessary. They don't get rid of criminals. They just terrorize communities. And THAT'S why they should be abolished. No need for reins. It's not a job!

The president should be impeached and convicted, as should everyone responsible for these outrages. ICE should be disbanded. So should the Department of Homeland Security. And the people who have killed should be investigated and brought before judges and juries.
We have to see the logic of the killings as well as the killings themselves. The horror is a truth in itself. But it is also a sign of a political logic, one known from the totalitarian regimes of the twentieth century.

“He’s killing us in the streets and we still have to pay our taxes in April” is an incredibly compelling point.
Before speaking with two armed men at the Pretti vigil last night, a man approached & asked if I was going to tell the truth. I said yes. He told me how frustrated he was at the media & the harm it’s causing to his community.

I asked if he wanted to share words for the media on camera, & he did:

Right now it would be great if Jimmy Carter were alive to speak out against this madness. We could also really use Bill Clinton and Barack Obama's leadership on this. Too bad they're not around anymore, either.

As we grieve for Alex Pretti and Renee Good in MN, please do not forget Victor Manuel Diaz, who died in ICE custody after being taken from here. And all others who have died in their custody.
36-year-old Nicaraguan national Victor Manuel Diaz died in ICE custody on Jan. 14 at Camp East Montana in El Paso.

The Texas Nicaraguan Community on FB reports that his mom last heard from him on Jan. 6, when he told her he was planning to go to Minneapolis to start work in a restaurant. 1/3

If you're not vocally opposed to ICE, you are pro-ICE. If you're a public official and only voicing concerns or objections privately, you are pro-ICE. If you are pro ICE, you are anti-human, fascist enabler at best collaborator at medium, and you should never be trusted with anything ever again.

Full throated stentorian opposition to ICE or you are too bad of a person to ever be considered for anything for the rest of your life. The best time to be against all this was years ago; the best time to make up for your abject embarrassing failure is now. Anything else is evil.

Some Democrat is going to propose a truth and reconciliation commission but it’s gotta be truth and consequences. There’s no way to find out what happened, get transparency, and move on. We have to salt the earth under the DHS, dismantle the policing and surveillance infrastructure that allowed it.

The president and his handlers down to the people who voted for him—all have shown themselves to revel in their lack of humanity. They’re proud of it and take perverse glee in oppressing others.

They’ve willfully removed themselves from the social contract and should be treated appropriately.
