I appreciate this article &how it talks about Gilmore's experience but I think it needed to shame Andrew Scheer, a leader in the Canadian conservative party, for his blasting Rachel on Twitter. I know the audience is mostly Americans but Scheer is behaving in ways I think should be called out.

Just wanted to add that perhaps the most infuriating thing in this entire rage-inducing article is the fact that Uber knew what patterns were most associated with sexual assault and refused to divulge that information because customers then might not use their services. Safety first, amirite?
Uber disclosed only 12k cases of sexual assault/misconduct from 2017-2022 when there were actually over 400,000 reports in that period of time. Putting business interests ahead of safety, they decided not to reveal patterns of when these assaults were most likely to occur—
