They need to reboot The Karate Kid but this time it's The Punch to the Face Kid and he took face-punching classes at the YMCA in Jersey but this group of kids in his new city are so good at punching people in the face but luckily a good face-puncher works in the kid's apartment building and whatnot.

You can also see the evolution of this in the later films made by some but not all of the original ZAZ trio. Leslie Nielsen starts mugging for the camera in the Naked Gun sequels, some of the Hot Shots actors play like they know it's a comedy, etc. Still enough funny jokes to compensate, but...
The reason their stuff worked so well is they didn’t play for the joke. They played it straight. That was the joke and it was brilliant. Some of the jokes were low brow but they still made you think. They had to convince actors what they were doing was funny. And it worked.
This trio made some of the funniest movies ever made, plus the short-lived, waaaaaay ahead of its time sitcom that was later turned into The Naked Gun, "Police Squad!" Among its running gags: every episode ended on a fake freeze frame.
