Anyone complaining about European rearmament as escalatory simply doesn’t understand Ru. Ru invades the unarmed and the neutral (Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine). It hasn’t dared invade a NATO member, no matter how small. If Ru does attack NATO, it will be because it perceives its members as unprepared.

One thing Bluesky is clearly behind X on (despite all of X’s flaws) is the echo chamber effect. So far, it looks like a niche space. Not necessarily a bad thing, but when it comes to discussing analysis, users here tends to reinforce their beliefs. Not quite Truth Social, but you get the idea

1. Who's to say Israeli strikes in Gaza aren't highly targeted?
2. Israel clearly has allocated far more intel capabilities against the Iranian threat than Gaza/Hamas.
3. Israel is engaged in urban warfare in Gaza against an entrenched enemy. That's never a tidy business.
