🎙️ Latika Takes: The Podcast on all apps

Had been meaning to get to this yesterday, but time ran out.

Do check out Latika’s wrap on the Estonian report. The Estonians have been very clear in recent months: They can’t foresee an attack on NATO in the next couple of years, although that’s no grounds for complacency.
Just finished my write-up of Estonia's highly-regarded Foreign Intelligence Service report.

Very interesting on the situation inside Russia and the point-of-no-return in China-Russia relations (with direct implications for Taiwan/Indo-Pacific).

Australia's Defence Minister Richard Marles is attending Munich.

First time Australia has sent a representative at this level, reflecting both Marles' personal engagement with Europe (a rarity in the Australian Cabinet) + MSC's greater engagement in Indo-Pacific.

Japan's FM also coming.

Marco Rubio's Critical Minerals Summit in DC on Wednesday will bring together many of the United States partners and allies who Trump has put offside with this aggressive trade and foreign policies.

Well, this is welcome.

After the US detained a Russian ghost ship in the Atlantic, the French have finally followed suit, seizing one in the Med.

Brits helped.

Apart from anything, Trump's Davos speech was actually very dull, matched only by its length.

I asked the UK's independent reviewer of terror legislation if the Gaza marches could/should be treated as related to the Bondi attack.

Some pro-Palestinian protestors have claimed that the ISIS flags found in the alleged killers' car show the two are not linked.
