Tomorrow, the Russian invasion of Ukraine will reach 1,418 days, the exact same number of days as the German invasion of the Soviet Union, from the border crossing on June 22nd to the official proclamation of Victory on May 9th and capitulation of Berlin.

Saying this without judging religions or ideological beliefs as such, I find a dark amusement in watching millions who claim to be devout Christians and defenders of traditional family values cheer for the death of a woman, strip protections from the needy, separate families, and celebrate wars

I think it is also important for Greenlanders to stay cautious on their way to the doctor, as they might accidentally obstruct the work of a law enforcement agent and get shot
Reuters reports that U.S. officials have discussed offering lump sum payments of $10,000 to $100,000 to Greenland residents as an incentive to secede from Denmark.

It might cover two or maybe even three hospital visits in the U.S., depending on coverage plan, networks, and luck

Regarding the seizure of Russian tankers, the Russians believed that flying the Russian flag and sending a submarine, would deter the US. I wish we still had the Biden administration’s support for Ukraine, combined with Trump’s resolve to act boldly in such situations.

No nuclear war followed

Russia is slowly but steadily reducing itself to a regional power, closer to Pakistan than to any global peer. It is not there yet, given its nuclear triad and remaining leverage, but in the years ahead Russians will face a far less enviable geopolitical position

As American forces seized the sanctioned Russian-flagged tanker Marinera, formerly Bella 1, Putin’s bravado vanished. He has remained silent since his friend and ally Maduro was dragged out of his bedroom like a naughty toddler and deposited in a New York courtroom

After the Cold War, the US itself closed or sharply downsized many military facilities in Greenland, including Sondrestrom Air Base and early-warning radar sites. Denmark remained a loyal ally, and did not object to US presence. Claims of Danish security neglect are fallacious.

Few thoughts on the Greenland saga, summarized in a short thread. Some of these points have already sparked debate on X, but after Miller’s speech, I am even more convinced. 🧵Thread

1/ First and foremost, Denmark is not only a member of the EU, but also a founding member of NATO.

When I said last year that the average American MAGA supporter closely resembles a Russian vatnik in both mindset and ideology, I meant it seriously.

Merz sitting alongside the Ukrainian delegation during negotiations with American envoys is a great example of the role of individual personality in history. Imagine how different the situation might be if Scholz were still in power.

Have you noticed how “corruption” is a constant media buzzword in articles about Ukraine, yet rarely comes up when discussing the current administration? Many things the Trump administration did would be considered exorbitant even by today’s Ukrainian “corruption standards”.

At first, the Trump administration cut USAID and military aid to Ukraine, reducing existing programs to a minimum. Then it imposed tariffs on the EU. Now it acts surprised that it has little leverage in negotiations, as all sides ignore Trump’s sporadic demands and tantrums

Look at the latest DeepState map. Now look at what I said last month. Then look at the map again. Many people were shocked by my assessment at the time, but as often happens, it turned out to be correct.

Considering that I was largely correct about how the war in Ukraine would develop and where Europe would eventually find itself, I will allow myself to share a few thoughts on how I see things unfolding for us in the future:

After reading the 2025 U.S. National Security Strategy, seeing Scott Bessent say that the US remains an ally of China, and reading Musk call for dismantling the EU, I just want to scream into the void, because it feels like we are sliding back into late 19th century imperialism led by a kakistocrats
