obviously you only sell almost $6 billion in stock when you're certain a company is going to get even more valuable
Japanese giant SoftBank said Tuesday it has sold its entire stake in tech giant Nvidia for $5.83 billion.

Just finished The Outer Worlds 2 and while there were many ending slides I was heavily invested in. This one was such a surprise and it made me laugh out loud.

Executive Wojtek is such a great send up to a fun historical fact and to learn where he ended up was such a delight.

Trump: "Nobody knows what magnets are."

In the 1890s, Gifford Pinchot — often hailed as America's first serious forest conservationist — went on a quest to make forests that could be tightly controlled. In doing so, Marin Scotten writes, he helped birth both the American suburb and a new age of wildfires.

I mean no it's not, it's more like Enron.
This is insane. This is *literally* doing the same mechanics of the housing crisis and 2008 recession but to create debt to finance construction of AI data centers

Pretty much all affordability discourse could benefit from just posting this chart.

If you're in the better off America, all the luxury goods you want in excess are for the most part much cheaper. If you're in the poorer America, most of the shit you need to live/grow is more expensive.

Beep Fuckin' Boop.

Fannie Sinclair did another robot show and good lord these are so fun.

Fannie started things off as the Energizer Bunny. Maria Lasagna as an Austin Powers Fembot. Lusty Levi as Robocop. And Arilith as a glitching android OC (this performance involved a blood capsule, wild stuff)

look I know being an engaged citizen IS the work of democracy but it is also the work of elected officials not to create situations where everyone has to be mobilized all the time to prevent them from allowing some kind of Dickensian horror on a Sunday night while you're in between loads of laundry

I called my senators and Schiff's voice mail was full and of course Padilla won't even let you leave a voice mail if the office isn't open (he loves ducking his constituents).

So I had to send emails where I beg them not to screw us over and remind them giving into fascists will be remembered.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

Months of pain and suffering for...what? nothing? cool cool cool

Not only will the electorate unseat the GOP incumbents next year, but I foresee a total bloodbath when every D who votes for this also loses their jobs in a stunning defeat

It makes me furious to see games disappear, regardless of the reasons (even if it wasn't a BSG game).

But since it is a BSG game, I want to pay tribute to it, so if anyone worked on it here, please contact me. 🖖

I already have lots of concept art and assets to illustrate my piece.

A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.

Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.

Not to be the fun police but I do hope people know that Arc Raiders does use generative AI for voice acting, and by supporting the game you're letting higher-ups know that this is an okay practice.

They try to downplay this on the Steam store page by describing the AI usage as vaguely as possible.
