I remember one of the original big Denorah Cohen Newsnight reports on puberty blockers where they filmed in this attic full of abandoned toys and had creepy mannequin dummys and spooky music playing over it. It made Martine Croxalls eye rolling incident look like nothing.

The British government admits it is now monitoring VPNs use by UK residents. Regulator Ofcom has contracted with an AI-powered surveillance service to detect the number of citizens using VPNs to evade the Online Safety Act.

The UK tech minister has said a VPN ban is on the table.

How many trans people have the BBC had on this week discussing the BBC's pro-trans bias?

Zero.

This bit from 27mins in to the latest episode is referred to as the “trans issue” by John Sopel and the others.

It’s genuinely maddening that all these political talking heads flap about a right wing coup of the BBC but fail to see anti trans bias as part of that. Because it is bias they also hold.

I just watched this it was actually really good until they both started congratulating themselves for their role in anti trans journalism and basically suggesting that the BBC was ideologically captured buy a pro trans bias. Fucking mental given the wider context of what they are talking about.

So, @sophiemolly.co.uk’s outstanding article about the attack by Sussex NHS on trans kids in Brighton meant her article was taken down for a while. Glad to see it back up again, but we had to wait for THIS BLAND & MISLEADING statement by Sussex!! Pathetic.

To be really clear, Sussex ICB threatened, in writing, to close a Brighton GP practice serving 25,000 patients, purely to bully them into passing over child records. The GP did not want to pass on these records, because they understood the acute risk (& reality) of harm to trans adolescents.
Sophie's article is back up with a statement from the ICB. They are lying. They threatened Well BN with closure if they weren't given access to our childs records. Well BN held off for months, trying to stop them.
"Laura fears all will be lost if ICB Sussex forces her child off the medication.

If ICB Sussex get their own way in a matter of weeks and they force detransition, Olive may well take her life."

Sussex ICB demand a right of reply, yet refuse to meet with Trans youth and their families; Cancel attendance at meetings at last minute & force the sharing of private medical information of Trans youth via legal threats without recourse.
My reporting has touched a nerve with Sussex ICB.

They contacted North West Bylines to remove my article untill they give a right to reply. They already gave a statement, which is included in the article.

I think they're rattled.

The NHS's own impact assessment found this would increase risk of suicide. They are doing it anyway, & re-referring young people to the NHS gender service which is refusing to offer medication & instead mandates 'psychosocial therapy' designed by anti Trans conversion therapists. Utterly reckless.
NHS Sussex are forcibly detransitioning trans people. These patients need full restoration of their healthcare, and everyone involved in doing this needs to be sacked.

Every time she comes up, I remind you all that Pamela Paul killed a pro trans paragraph in a review I wrote for the New York Times, lied about it in the press, then when I confronted her with receipts, said “Let’s keep this to ourselves.”
In which a straight woman highlights a bunch of known anti trans activists and claims there's a divide in the queer community.

It's pure propaganda and gaslighting.

This is a great video, and a really horrifying story, but I want to point out something else about it, which is that there's a connection between the way that the EHRC participated in the Labour Together and Morgan McSweeney effort to bring down Corbyn, and the EHRC's turn towards transphobia.

This is 100% correct. Including as to the chaos the Gender Critical Ideological Movement so beloved of Labour has now descended into as their facade of respectability crumbles like the Berlin Wall.

Making this barbarism expensive to police makes this more of a problem to this Labour government than the in-built attacks on human rights.

Which is sickening.

Labour is making Trans people, & in particular trans kids like Brianna, and like my daughter, less safe. Controls on smartphones does not figure in the constructive actions you could take to keep her safe. Instead you need to return her right to healthcare & protect rights from EHRC harm.
Meeting yesterday with Brianna Ghey's mother Esther - and pupils at Brianna's former school - was a powerful reminder of why controls on social media and smartphone use in schools is so important for children, teachers and parents. (1/2)
