It’s a dark, rhyming fairytale with characters like Jackie Trolling, Sir Queer Harmer, Waz Shitting and Doctor Killory Hass.

Trans rights are WOMEN’S rights!

When they come for trans rights, women’s rights are diminished also!

We need to remember how powerful unity is.

Please share this widely. There have been 13 peer-reviewed critiques of the Cass Review, to the extent that academia regards it as pseudoscience, but so far all have been subject to organised censorship by mainstream media. This is the first time one has broken through. Oz Guardian only still.
Worked hard to get this into Guardian Oz & big props to @fiercemum.bsky.social for setting it up & Melissa Davey for publishing it. She will doubtless get loads of hassle from transphobes for it, but it needs to be out there.

“Levy fails to tackle the most fundamental problems with the gender clinic system: gatekeeping, pathologisation, and dehumanisation, which all harm patients while also wasting clinical time and resources.”

Transition care should be based on informed consent. We need to end transphobic gatekeeping.

Doesn’t feel good that the head of BBC News Content is instructing reporters to refer to trans people with slurs. If this leak is real it raises questions about who made this decision, who was consulted, and why the BBC chose to ignore its own editorial guidelines on slurs and offensive language
EXCLUSIVE
The BBC has circulated leaked guidance telling journalists to describe trans women as “biological males”.

As well as discrimination in general healthcare, years long waiting lists for gender-affirming healthcare are ruining trans people’s lives.

We urgently need increased funding for gender-affirming healthcare, improved training for GPs, and to co-produce services with trans patients.

You can see the same "seething, obsessive hatred" in the UK Transphobic lobbyists attempting to remove all healthcare. They weren't satisfied with the closure of youth gender services, they want Trans people out of every aspect of public life.
Really appreciate the justified anger in this piece by @ryanlcooper.com.

The GOP's narrative about trans people "is and always has been a lie. What these people actually have is a seething, obsessive hatred of trans people. They want them either back in the closet or dead."

When those who hate trans people win - or pretend to win, cf Sandie Peggie - it's all over the media, even if it's just a tribunal decision. But when they lose, even in the Court of Appeal, it's absolute bloody tumbleweed. So here's our blog about Allison Bailey latest loss. goodlaw.social/3uyd
