The vote failed on a 49-49 tie. Sheldon Whitehouse, a Democrat, was in Korea for an ocean conference. Mitch McConnell, who also supported the measure, also missed the vote.
Later today the Senate will vote on my bipartisan legislation to end Trump’s tariffs. This has a real chance of passing. I encourage everyone to make your voices heard with your Senators if you feel strongly about this issue. I’ll be working to get it across the finish line. More soon.

On April 24, ICE agents broke into a home of a family of US citizens in Oklahoma. The family repeatedly said we are citizens, you have the wrong people. ICE terrorized the family, ripped apart the house.

I want to grow some of my food but the thing no one talks about around gardening is how expensive it is. Both in direct costs and the costs of your time. It’s around slightly better but grow food on direct costs but much cheaper to buy food if you include your labor costs.

This is true: The Trump administration said it has imposed a 10% tariff on the British Indian Ocean Territory, whose only inhabitants are the U.S. and U.K. service members at the military base on Diego Garcia.
