Around the lunar New Year guests are served 'rōbai' (蝋梅), named after the fragrant 'yellow wax plum' which blooms at this time of year.
As the name suggests, the beehive-yellow blossoms look as if they have been carefully crafted from wax.

Every day I look at the feed, every day I am reminded how stark social media is to offline real life.
Online, everyone is loud, angry, immensely cruel. Even for the progressives who talk so much about kindness - they are happy to be perceived as right(eous) and are happier to dunk on people.
