I recently paid my own way to travel to speak at a conference, even though engaging in thought leadership is part of my job description. I thought it was chintzy but it wasn’t worth going through a battle with corporate bureaucracy.
But asking a reporter to pay to travel to cover THEIR BEAT? Nutso.
