The vast majority of Americans are opposed to AI and oligarchy, but both of our major political parties are too corrupted by billionaire control to stand up for the people.

BlueSky is wild because half of my feed are people making stupidly grandiose statements about the Democracy like they’re Patrick Henry and the others are like “if you strike me down now, my ass will becoming bigger than you can possibly imagine.” I only signed up for the second.

These parents killed their child and we need to say it
“The vaccination has stuff we don’t trust,” said the father of the 6-year-old girl who died of measles. In March, Tom Bartlett wrote about his visit with a family confronting an unthinkable tragedy.

I don’t like AI. But I honestly wonder if the tech is accelerating suicidality (it doesn’t induce them) or if it’s just that now we can see a record of peoples’ thoughts. I never told my parents about my own suicidal thoughts in high school, and didn’t at all after my freshman year.
Adam Raine’s life hurtled toward tragedy soon after he began talking with ChatGPT about homework. Analysis of his ChatGPT account shows how the chatbot became a confidant as he planned to end his life.

Another way AI leads to suicide is that hearing people talk about it makes you want to jump into a jet engine

I mean this genuinely constructively: Mark Cuban should, but won’t, reflect on why he feels more comfortable on the site run by a Nazi than on one where randos are moderately intemperate to him.

Mark Cuban does not engage in good faith arguments. He can spend his time and research on healthcare spending research, but instead bullies people on BlueSky who don’t have that time and research to prevent UHC.

Correct: Taxing billionaires won’t cover M4A.
The lie: That’s not what it proposed.

Mark is upset because he posted an unattributed quote from someone thanking him for saving her husband’s life. This good billionaire can’t even tell everyone about the praise he gets, the reason you do something good, without people telling him he’s full of shit smh

I love how Pam Bondi and the MAGA DOJ openly, shamelessly, and maliciously go after Trump's enemies, but Merrick Garland sat paralyzed for four years, terrified that prosecuting Trump for literally treasonable offenses would violate norms, precedent, and decorum. He must be so proud.

A lot of people are acting smug about saying “I knew they wouldn’t release the Epstein files.” Look: What they released is only going to fuel speculation about what they redacted. There’s no way more doesn’t come out. Thousands of people have seen the docs. This is almost daring them to leak.
