It is absolutely insane that such a statement is even necessary. Much respect to Mr. Powell for having the intestinal fortitude to meet the moment better than most of our elected officials.

Just called Hilton to close my honors account, they obviously have a script for people calling to cancel for not supporting terrorists.

Boy, I don’t know about you guys, but I sure *LOVE* losing a Saturday morning and having to cancel lunch plans for a software deployment that failed because three developers all thought the others were going to verify an identifier in prod was the same as test.

Thank you for sending yet another Slack message to tell me you sent the meeting invite, which outlook already notifed me about.

Boy that's a painful electric bill. I guess bumping the heat up one degree makes quite a difference when it's also super cold for days.

I know it would be a pain in the ass, but regular driving tests need to be a thing.

Is anybody else getting emails from USPS about tracking numbers that are neither to nor from you? I see nothing weird in my account when I login.

Me: tells coworker of travel plans.

Coworker: “Why do you want to go there?”

Me: Fuck does it matter? You’re not going along.

America crossed many Rubicons by attacking Venezuela on Jan. 3, 2026

We are now a rogue nation. Any rules-based global order is dead. Trump is a dictator, without Congress, public approval or legal restrain. And an axis of evil is carving up the globe

Look at me scheduling a slack message for Monday morning instead of sending an unnecessary notification to somebody who is off today but their notifications are not muted. If only more people could do this.

I worked in a factory during the summer between high school and college and absolutely hated it. Now I think it sounds like a dream job. Nobody sending a 'quick' question while you try to eat lunch, when you are done for the day you are DONE for the day...
