Terrifyingly creepy. Nothing good has ever come from a government demanding a list of Jews.
If the government asks for a list of Jews in your organization, you have an absolute ethical obligation to refuse that request, regardless of who is asking or what they say it's for. They have no right to ask and you have no right to comply.

You don’t have to like Nuzzi or approve of her conduct to understand that Lizza’s choice to publish the material that he is publishing is meant to sexually humiliate her in public in retaliation for disappointing him romantically. The term for that is revenge porn.

The most insane, cruel thing is that he has agreed to be removed to Costa Rica, Costa Rica agreed to it, and as soon as that happened the administration insisted that it must remove him to an African country instead. Cruelty and evil is the only explanation.
They could have ended this whole thing 3 months ago, claimed a victory of him being removed, and most Americans would have assumed yes, the admin won.

But being cruel was more important to them.

A full accounting should’ve happened after Trump‘s first term. And yet nobody even tried. He got away with everything and just laid plans for a second term that would be even worse.
It’s crazy to think about the crimes we’re going to learn about after this regime ends.

We’re already hearing about Watergate level crimes every week. Imagine what will come out after it’s over.

We’re going to need a full accounting of all that’s been done in violation of the constitution.

It’s way past time that qualifying nations refused to attend the World Cup. This is just yet another reason. None will though.
President Donald Trump's administration will not permit supporters from Haiti to enter the United States next summer after the nation qualified for the World Cup.

There is no explicit constitutional prohibition against felching so it is difficult for me to understand why Ryan Lisa is so upset with Olivia Nuzzi and RFK Jr.

This perfectly encapsulates the "performative neutrality" of which @peterhotezmdphd.bsky.social and I accuse the New York Times--with respect to both climate and vaccines--in #ScienceUnderSiege. In fact, it goes beyond that, engaging in outright antiscience pandering:
Breaking News: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he personally instructed the CDC to abandon its position that vaccines do not cause autism. The move underscores his determination to challenge scientific orthodoxy — in this case, that vaccines save lives — and bend the health department to his will.
RFK Jr. Says He Instructed CDC to Change Vaccines and Autism Language on Website
In an interview, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. cited gaps in vaccine safety research. His critics say he is ignoring a larger point: Vaccines save lives.

What Rand Paul is doing is what Jim Jordan did to Stanford Internet Observatory. Under the pretext of “oversight“ he can make sweeping requests —w/the intent to harass & chill.

The universities can fight. But most are afraid of broader attacks so they quickly comply.

Think of steel as flour for the manufacturing economy. A tariff is like a flour tax: the mill might add 1,000 jobs, but factories using flour cut around 75,000. That’s what happens when you tax an input instead of solving the real problem.
