Moving algebra 1 from 8th grade to 9th grade isn’t a good idea but it is not the same as banning middle school math cuz black kids were bad at it
iirc sf literally put this into practice in mathematics. the test scores showed black kids weren't doing well at math. so they just stopped teaching math in middle school

the actual story here, which the media never talks about, is that police in this country have become a discrete right-wing political operation. the story isn't about cops leaving (they're lying about that), it's about the police trying to exert influence over elections.
