If you see a bunch of people celebrating a man’s death today and wonder “why are people so happy about someone dying”, just know many of us wish this would’ve happened 50 years ago so he couldnt have taught our parents how to uniquely traumatize us and keep us closeted and subservient
just gonna say this again because it needs to be pointed out

Dobson’s favorite (only?) form of parental discipline is functionally sexual assault. It is always wrong to strip a child naked and touch or hit them, even “lovingly”.

He was not sorry and neither am I.
woke up to soooo many text messages about Dobson’s death. that man ran a “positive eugenics” social experiment on millions of children and most people have no idea who he is. rest in pieces, asshole 🪦

TERFS are not feminists. Never have been.
Who could have predicted that harassment of cis women, who do not conform to feminine stereotypes, in public toilets and changing rooms would increase after the Supreme Court ruling?

Pretty much everyone who paused to consider it, that’s who.
‘I’ve been spat on’: gender non-conforming women tell of toilet abuse in aftermath of supreme court ruling
Support groups report that women and non-binary people are increasingly being challenged in toilets and changing facilities – but others call it scaremongering

I mean it's pretty simple: they do not respect other people enough to value them over their own childish prerogative to say whatever they like to without thinking. bsky.app/profile/zach...
My basic response to the question of pronouns defaults to, "Why would I speak to someone in a way that hurts them on purpose?" A lot of people - maybe most people - in this country apparently don't feel that way, and I guess I'll just never understand that.

Politics can be complex, but every so often it’s pretty easy to tell which side of history you’re on. For example, if you require the police to arrest elderly ladies for peacefully protesting against genocide, that’ll probably be the wrong side.

I spent yesterday posting about online harassment. And I learned that a lot of white men think online harassment is someone disagreeing with you or being rude to you.

That is not what online harassment is. But it is very clarifying about why our societal response is to minimize its impact.
