I was 15 when I first had sex with a man.
I’d snuck off to London’s Heaven nightclub with the express intent of ridding myself of my ‘gay virginity’, a goal I achieved easily with a visiting American photographer.

Today would have been Justin Fashanu’s 65th birthday.
Justin was Britain's first Black £1m footballer and the first professional footballer to come out as gay.
He was beautiful and talented.
I knew him (we had a brief thing).
He was hounded by the press and the crowds and took his life aged just 37.

A reminder: When we are undetectable (ie virally suppressed on treatment) the risk of HIV being passed on is ZERO.
So PrEP and/or condoms aren’t necessary for HIV prevention if you date someone who’s HIV+ and stable on treatment (although condoms can prevent other STIs if your relationship is open).

JKR is using part of her vast fortune to fund legal cases for women who don’t wish to share space with trans women (when there are thousands of other causes that better protect women that money could be used for).
