In August I had surgery for an injury which had prevented me from running for over a year.
Today I ran 10km in less than an hour.
I’m well chuffed.

Is it right to describe someone as ‘openly gay’, rather than just ‘gay’?
Here’s my rule: if it relates to a longstanding title or achievement, using ‘openly’ acknowledges the history of homophobia that resulted in many not being able to be open about their sexuality.
Other times, it’s unnecessary.

A research project I’m working on now has what we believe is the largest recorded cohort of neurodiverse HIV+ participants.
If we can recruit a handful more to this study, seeking info about interactions between healthcare providers and people with HIV, we’ll be able to make valid comparisons.
