The SAVE act — another GOP effort to convert election lies into policy — would disenfranchise millions of voters. Congress is likely to vote on it this week. Sherrilyn’s article explains the urgency.

The sheer amount of genuine pop culture that MAGA is telling its adherents they must reject these days is like they’re the Amish, without even rumspringa.

There is a major political organization allied with the president that got so mad a Latino artist was tapped to play at the Super Bowl they made a whole alternative show. We should all take a moment to reflect on that. It is so blatantly racist.

just building this awful camp system is a crime against humanity imo
The proposed centers are so large that some could house as many as 8,000 detainees at once, according to a DHS spreadsheet of more than 20 potential locations that was verified by NBC News. The largest federal prison in the U.S., for example, has roughly 4,000 inmates.
ICE plans to build mega warehouses for immigration detention spark growing concern
Sources at two government contractors told NBC News they were worried that new warehouses — and the large numbers of immigrants who would be housed in them — would present safety problems.

According to the Louisiana Democratic Party, Chasity Martinez got outpsent by a 3-to-1 margin in tonight's election yet still turned in a 37-point overperformance—and a victory.
Congratulations to Chasity Verret Martinez on her election to represent House District 60.

She was outspent 3-to-1 and still won. This is what happens when grassroots Democrats show up and organize.

Proud of this win and excited to keep building power together. #LaDemos

First results out of the Louisiana #HD60 (Trump+13) special election:

Chasity Martinez (D)- 55.6%
Brad Daigle (R)- 44.4%

Just early vote, but Harris lost the early vote here by around 15-20 points in 2024, so good start for the Democrats in their attempt to retain this seat.

Ossoff: We were told that MAGA was for working-class Americans. But this is a government of, by, and for the ultra-rich. It’s the wealthiest Cabinet ever. This is the Epstein class. They are the elites they pretend to hate.

Mark my words: If he wins re-election in anything more than a squeaker, his name is going to start being talked about for 2028. The field is far from set. As I've said before, Obama didn't even start appearing in 2008 polls until fall 2006
SEN. OSSOFF: “.. why are roving gangs of masked men — who look like they couldn’t pass the Army physical exam — dressed up like pretend Delta Force operators, on our streets, demanding papers, dragging people from their cars, and shooting people to death?”

This tow truck driver returns the cars for free as a public service, and he’s been getting death threats.

They hate the helpers.

Which is why must keep helping.

Juan Leon sends a "chase" car to check out where abandoned vehicles are located and arranges discreet drop-offs. Since late December, he estimated they have dropped off 250 cars.
