Human brains feed off of negativity. Negative thoughts are easily digested and play in a loop in your mind all of the time. The reality, however, is that there is also A LOT OF GOOD happening every single minute. You have to do more work to pay attention to the good but it's worth it.

Abolish and prosecute ICE. They did a murder in broad daylight today. Imagine what they're doing in the closed facilities we're somehow not even allowed to see.

Do not let the failures of prosecution post January 6th happen again. Every second you do not charge this person is a second the massive propaganda apparatus around the federal government will use to create a fog of lies to get him off. Arrest him immediately for killing an American citizen.

please stop engaging with "we should take greenland" like its a position that requires asserting history or facts.

"thats fucking stupid, shut the fuck up. taking greenland? sit your dumb ass down" - the response we should be giving

faced with hitler's propaganda machine the allied governments went to work on propaganda to rally their people to the cause. this is how you get people to unite for freedom. the playbook is obvious. you just have to use it.

there are people who said in 2011 that 9/11 happened under obama. we can lament the public being ill informed until the cows come home, it wont change. or we can focus on informing the public with our narrative so we dont get fucked.
If folks can't remember five years ago better than this bullshit, we're in serious trouble.
the white house site attempting to rewrite january 6 is some dictator shit (link via fox, who got the "exclusive")

A reminder - before Trump, MAGA, Musk and Fox rewrote history - that this is what the entire country agreed had happened five years ago today:

IMO the argument is that you can make things into big enough deals that it matters. Khanna found Massey and found survivors and made the Epstein Files the gigantic story it should be. Only then did establishment Dems come along. You can, in fact, make things into big hairy deals if you do it right.
if you want the Senate to do something, Senate Republicans must do something.

People are dunking on this but I'm not really sure what plays Schumer has other than to try to peel off Rs.
Schumer: "Republicans must -- if there was ever a time, they must step up to the plate. This is the time. And if they don't, they're gonna feel the heat from their constituents."

Don't forget folks: allowing yourself a vision of the future you'd want for our country and planet - not the one you'd settle for, not the one you fear, but the future of your dreams - isn't naive, it's a vital cognitive skill. That's how we articulate what we most value. What's worth fighting for.
Instead of whatever this is, we should have a government getting lots of new homes and apartments built, lots of clean energy built, lots of high speed rail and transit and bike lanes built, human rights for everyone, economic & healthcare opportunities for all, & innovation that leads the world.

It still boggles my fucking mind that we watched Republicans recover from the biggest electoral defeat in decades by overtly acting as an opposition party (remember why you can't filibuster Supreme Court nominations?) & today's Democrats just fucking refuse to be an opposition party!
Republicans voted over 70 times (!) to repeal Obamacare even though they knew they didn’t have the numbers, but it pleased the base, kept them energized, and showed that the party is still fighting despite being in the minority.

Back in 2001-3 you had to question your sanity when thinking about opposing the invasion of Iraq. “Everybody” seemed to support it after 9/11. Those of us who opposed the war were right and the mob was wrong.

Don’t think you have to go along with the mob this time.

My whole life, advocating war has been fed to me as “the adult position,” akin to drinking your coffee black or reading the business section of the newspaper. Let’s be very clear — war is the childish nonsense of impulsive destructive idiots playing baby-brained video games with real human lives.

We’ve seen this movie before and it ends in blood. But we don’t have to do it again.

Trump and MAGA are a criminal gang. Democrats should keep impeaching the head of that gang to make it clear that Republicans are an active part of the criminal gang. Not impeaching simply makes it easier for him.

Bombing another country and kidnapping its leader would also be wrong with Congressional approval. The outrage, and call for impeachment, should be over the evil and illegal outcome not merely the failure to follow the prescribed process.
