Remember, what is "smut" or "adult content" has always had VERY loose boundaries where conservatives are concerned. It is a small step for them from outright porn to anything that they deem "inappropriate"... including queer themes and identities. You HAVE to hold the line for everyone.
Even if you don't purchase smut, it should be common sense that the right for anyone else to obtain it shouldn't be completely up to modern day crusaders and credit card payment processors.

Spoke with an anon source who had an interesting insight into Visa policy. Per a convo with their bank on the Steam/itchio situation today, Visa put new restrictions into place due to a new "government policy." The exact phrase used by Visa. No specific country was listed as the source of the policy

I keep getting people suggesting it’s mean to dress him up. Folks, if a cat does not want to wear a thing—you will not be able to make them. Darwin wore onesies as a tiny kitten because temp regulation issue; as a result he enjoys the sensation and even brings me outfits from his toy box. It’s OKAY.
