We did the Christmas dinner with the folks today so we get to stay home and relax tomorrow for the first time in 15 years or so, so I'm kind of looking forward to opening presents and bumming around in my robe all day 😌

I replayed Parasite Eve not long ago and 1) still an all-timer, and 2) I forgot how weird the movement in this game feels. The best way to describe it is it feels like she’s struggling on ice, and also in water, while also straining against a rubber band that's trying to pull her back.

I guess I need to give Octopath Traveler another shot? I keep seeing people rave about the writing and so far in the series I... don't see it? It feels very aggressively fine. It's fine. It does the job. It's always felt like it succeeded more on its combat and visuals than any writing or story.
