Like, it's a show you think is going to be nothing but beer and boomer humor, but it could be so weirdly emotionally intelligent and unexpectedly progressive/direct and challenging so often for the time it aired in, and I appreciated that they went for that even if it didn't always land.

One of the best things about it is that, despite how aspects of it may have been handled, it had so much more under the hood than it presents as. You expect dumb redneck gags, and you get it, but you also get Hank working to be a better husband, to connect with and understand his "weird" son, etc.

Yes!! That entire portion of the narrative really adds so much to the story and greater depth to Victor's character. As it was, it felt like the resolution was too fast and neat, even understanding that Victor was supposed to have been moved by the creature's story and his introspection.

I really couldn't tell if the way Mia Goth felt like she was half asleep in so much of it was intentional. I understand what they were trying to do with the character, I just wasn't sure about that performance.

And then you kind of feel like a bit of an asshole for it but good lord people play games with more friction and a willingness to try new ideas and narrative creativity even if it means it doesn't wind up as squeaky clean polished as it might have

Went to a local crafters festival today and there were people there with "support small businesses and local artists!" happily selling items with AI generated assets on them. I feel like people are getting more permissive BECAUSE it's so pervasive and they can't be bothered to check.

But I'm so normal Adam

- Roast pork, sliced ham
- Pickles, no lettuce or tomato
- Proper pressed Cuban bread, not just plain white or baguette
- Mayo and mustard
- Swiss

I mostly see people ruin it with deli sliced meat instead of the proper roast pork, or add "upscale" twists like extra fancy condiments or cheese
