I say again -- white nationalist media outlet Rebel News has signed convict Tamara Lich to a "job" that allows her to entirely circumvent the conditions of her sentence, and it's unfathomable that the Crown would be OK with this.

JD Vance had a temper tantrum because his friends of the AfD are under a judge authorized surveillance.
PP's now using "remigration".

The parallels to the Tuskegee syphilis study - so monstrous that its aftermath produced most modern human subjects research protections - are haunting. A deadly, highly transmissible pathogen with an available preventative, which Black families are denied to sate white observers’ curiosity.
This is a wildly unethical study that would be illegal to conduct in the United States. Have you heard of the Tuskegee experiments (crimes against humanity)? This sounds like that.
CDC awards $1.6 million for new hepatitis B vaccine study in Guinea-Bissau. Although the award recipients aren't named, the grant seems tailored to Danish researchers whose work is championed by anti-vaxxers but challenged by mainstream scientists.

Mark Carney keeps telling us that the best way to strengthen Canada's economy is to focus on expanding an industry that is predominantly American owned and which sends the majority of its profits out of Canada.

That's not how it works.

Mark Carney Claims Fossil Fuel Expansion Is ‘Canada Strong,’ but U.S. Investors Get the Profits
New data show American capital now controls most of Canada’s oil and gas sector while jobs vanish, royalties lag, and billions flow south.

Hegseth repeatedly misled the public about this strike.

The boat was headed for Suriname, not the U.S.
It wasn't carrying fentanyl.
The survivors didn't "radio for backup."

This strike was illegal, and Hegseth is trying to cover up what happened by refusing to release video.

The gutting of peer scientific review, more broadly, is about the deconstruction of expertise and traditional scientific metrics of credibility. Trying to lower the curtain on the era of evidence-based practice.
Well, this is an utter disaster for science.

This gutting of peer review is very likely driven by Project 2025/OMB/Vought, very likely is about funding junk science, and very likely is coming for #NIH and biomedical research next.

- efficient transit
- to keep our central library
- maybe something nice like the ability to visit pretty flowers in -30

What will we get?
- vibes-only economic development
- an events venue in constant need of bail outs
- flying pigs - sorry, I mean, police in planes.
