I appreciate the optimism behind the idea that one day people will pretend that they were against fascism, but I don’t think anything in United States country really supports this considering that there’s no real consequences for anything evil. And it’s actually good morals that gets punished.

This is why the stock market is evil. The only acceptable outcome is growth. Not sustaining profits, MORE profit. And investors want significant growth, which is a ridiculous expectation at any point, let alone the reality that they want it every quarter of every year, forever.
Southwest Airlines has been a perfectly viable and largely successful business model for generations so obviously PE had to come in and throw away everything they built over the last 60 years for the chance to show a slightly increased profit margin in Q2 2025.
