They tore me up for saying this on Twitter a while ago. It’s very fucking weird how many ppl were willing to take that audio and run with it and not even question what repeating something so hurtful and stupid would do. Turning hate into jokes doesn’t help.

This is what I’ll never get. The same willingness I have to protect southern Blackness is also for Haitian, Jamaican, African, Afro Latino and every other kinda Blackness. I’ll never understand how our own ppl fall into disparaging one group when it can so easily fall on another.
As a Haitian-American it is very disheartening to see how a lot of Black-Americans speak about us Haitians. But this has been a constant thing. We were blamed for the AIDS epidemic as well as looked down upon by Christians because of the practice of Voodoo.
I just couldn’t imagine being Haitian right now and seeing the way some fellow black people talk CRAZY about immigrants. Like you against them ICE niggas NOW but where have you been for the last like 6 years?!
