The idea that the Supreme Court uses its independence to protect political minorities and uphold the Constitutional text is pretty ingrained in many people especially liberals. Even though it only did that for ~25 years of the 20th century and at best ~35 years of the 19th century.
The comments on this video on TikTok are so interesting to me because it is a lot of people saying that we can’t do this because what if Republicans try it to or what if Republicans reverse it. “We have to change the court the traditional way.”

People don’t really get why Trump thought the Iraq war was dumb.
He didn’t think it was dumb to go in and destabilize the country and kill thousands and send Americans over there to get wounded or worse.
