The solution to our housing crisis? More housing. A lot more.

My Housing BOOM Act would spur construction and jobs just like when we built millions of new affordable homes after World War II for returning GIs.

Thanks to my request with @padilla.senate.gov, and @lofgren.house.gov, the Energy Department will be auditing Donald Trump’s cancellation of dozens of clean energy projects in California and across the country — cancellations that cost thousands of jobs and will drive up energy bills even further.

Californians have paid more than $1,000 in Trump Taxes this year thanks to the President’s tariffs — making housing, groceries, and everyday goods more expensive.

And with inflation still driving up prices, the cost of living under Donald Trump could climb even higher in 2026.

Dozens of energy projects cancelled in California.

Now five more on the East Coast.

All because Donald Trump wants to kill cheap, renewable energy.

Want to know who will pay the price for Trump's job killing cancellations?

Check your utility bill next year and you will see.

Wishing a very Merry Christmas to all those celebrating today. May this holiday season inspire us all to find peace and comfort in the moments shared with our loved ones.

This is yet another chilling example of how far the Trump administration will go in service of his billionaire enablers.

Hate speech and harm to kids online have exploded, and now the administration is targeting those working to combat it.

Their greed knows no bounds.

Nearly one year ago, Southern California’s communities were tested by devastating fires.

This holiday season gives us a chance to show our resilience — rising from the ashes to renew the traditions we hold dear like the world-famous Christmas Tree Lane in Altadena.
After Eaton fire, Altadena's Christmas Tree Lane provides an emotional return to normalcy
Tears were always near the surface at the 105th anniversary of the beloved tree lighting festival, a symbol of community resilience.

The overwhelming majority of the American people and even the Roberts Court agree: this unlawful weaponization of our National Guard must end.

It is long past time for our servicemembers to return to their homes and stop being deployed against their own communities.

Stop breaking the the law.

For the first time in a generation, we have censorship of the press.

Not because the government prohibits publication of offending material.

But because the administration coerces and dangles corrupt incentives like help with billion-dollar mergers.

The vast majority of people want to see this ban passed — and I'm one of them.

Let's get this done.⁩

This week, a bill to stop Trump from launching strikes against Venezuela fell 2 votes short in the House.

Last month, our similar effort in the Senate came up 2 votes short.

4 more Republicans.

That's all we need to stop this administration from potentially dragging America into war.

Another sycophant.

Another guardrail taken down.

The FCC no longer makes even a pretense of independence.

They exist to do the president’s bidding, even when it involves censorship.

The admin has created a crisis at USFWS — jeopardizing our ability to protect endangered species across our nation.

As the top Dem on the Fisheries, Water, and Wildlife Subcommittee, I’m urging immediate action to address this dire staffing shortfall for the sake of our public lands and wildlife.

These brave Californians testified on Capitol Hill and shared their stories about the abuse they experienced at the hands of federal immigration officials.

That took courage.

To stop these abuses, it will take action.

Pam Bondi should come before the Judiciary Committee, under oath, and explain this willful violation of the law.

The Trump Justice Department has had months to keep their promise to release all of the Epstein Files.

Epstein's survivors and the American people need answers now.

This week members in both House and Senate denigrated the entire Muslim faith in words I will not repeat.
