I have been thinking a lot lately about this, because if you put Mamdani next to Jasmine Crockett next to that new Maine oyster fisherman... none of them sound the same.
But they all sound like normal people from their communities.
"Normal" is regional, you can't decree what it is federally.

Whatever impostor syndrome you may have once had, dispose of it fucking immediately. If these people run the country, you deserve that promotion, you can run for city council, you can start that business. If this is the baseline, shit, you can do surgery drunk in an alley and you will do less harm.

Here is the thing naysayers fail to understand: this is practice. Everybody gets together and throws sand in the gears of fascism for one day. Nobody has ever suggested that this is going to be the single day that changes everything. But stuff like this helps ppl organize+ prepare for larger actions
