Would be a lot more excited about this if Dems weren't such a dogshit party that betrays its voters repeatedly.

Hahahah man I can’t believe the Dems’ “win” was negotiating a way to have Trump declare victory and send people another big check
Trump: "I want the money to go into an account for people where they buy their own health insurance. It's so good. The insurance will be better. It'll cost less. Everybody is gonna be happy. They're gonna feel like entrepreneurs. They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"

The Most Frustrating Thing About the Shutdown Cave - The American Prospect
Senate Democrats actually know how to use their power to counter Donald Trump and ensure that legislative funding gets spent—but this continuing resolution makes it clear they chose not to.

Did we get an ACA extension in the bill?

No.

Did we protect Article 2 from Presidential overreach?

No.

Well, what did we get?

Josh Hawley can sue for millions over Jan 6th and they recriminalized hemp products.

Oh sweet...

Steve Inskeep: You think the Republicans voting with you here will not only agree to these measures, but actually try to do something if the administration ignores them?

Sen Cortez Masto: If they go back on their word, then the American public will know where the Republicans stand.

This a big deal: "China’s carbon dioxide emissions have been flat or falling for 18 months"

China's economy has grown by ~5% in the last year, so this comprehensively debunks the idea (again) that emissions are tied to growth. So yes, faster progress needed, but this is how you turn the corner.

The Washington Post has hit a new low with this bizarre OpEd comparing the James Comey prosecution to Jack Smith lawfully subpoenaing communication records adjacent to an attempted coup.

Everyone at the Washington Post should really think about what sort of institution they are working for.

The ACA subsidies was always a red herring. No serious person ever thought that these were getting preserved as long as a child rapist, fascist, insurrectionist is in the White House.

It is a ludicrous thing to starve people over. If you are withholding trillions of dollars, do better.

But his own website specifically stated that they allowed proxy voting.

The only person who is very open about wanting to be leader is Brian Schatz. And Brian Schatz is awful.

Here is an exchange I had with him on January 6th where he flagrantly and knowingly violated his oath by helping install Trump as president despite a Supreme Court ruling about this.

Look at this. Backing up Schatz.
I saw Schatz getting burned for this but I think that's undeserved. At first I was alarmed too, but after a boring discussion on confusing senate rules, our congressional experts convinced me: no, Schatz didn't go back on his word or give up some opportunity here.
